Characteristics, Structure and Analysis of Insurance Contracts


A policy document is evidence of the insurance contract between the insurer and the insured. There is a process involved in the formation of the contract. There are also many who find it difficult to read and interpret insurance contracts.


This presentation aims to highlight the legal issues governing the characteristics, formation and operation of GI insurance contracts. It also aims to explain the structure of the contract, detailing the different sections and the key features of each section.

Target Audience

Junior underwriters, underwriting assistants, junior claims personnel, sales, distribution and account executive staff.
